okay, i feel like i’m going to have a hard time finding words for this one. so it’s a good thing i took a lot of pictures.
chris and mariah are honestly one of the dearest couples. they have been together since mariah was in high school and you can tell…their way with each other is one of ease and delight and they are so fun to be around.
their day was so personal…the wedding in a dear friends’ yard and the reception held on her family’s farm, their pictures taken in the orchard where she used to play, her flowers prepared by her sisters and so many dear family and friends in attendance.
i think mariah broke the record for number of hugs i’ve received from a bride on their wedding day. her gratitude was humbling and something i will never forget. and now i’m crying. OK! look at some pictures while i go find a kleenex 😉

keith & laura. brilliant, beautiful souls. after being present and hearing all of the stories at their wedding, i feel like i got even more insight into who they are…and that is a generous, kind, warm and genuine couple. pretty sure they were made for each other. they also know how to throw a fabulous party. oh and keith has been known to wear women’s jeans. but that’s besides the point.
special thanks to wendy lees for second shooting for me!

i’m not an authority on max & whitney. i have only met them on three occasions, one being their wedding day and one being the night before their wedding day. but for just a moment, i’m going to speak like i know them. because the thing about them, is that i have not only what they have revealed to me to go on, but also the words of family, the actions of friends and just a general feel for not only who they are but who they hope to be.
and both of those are amazing.
this is a couple who loves wholly, who sees the best in others and reflects that goodness back to them. these are individuals who have built their lives around serving and plan to continue in that vein as a married couple. they are a couple who though on a budget, looked for ways they could bless their guests through hosting a party that honored their friendships and made people want to be there. i have never been to a wedding with that many people that felt so intimate. during the ceremony, you could have heard a pin drop (or a phone ring…ahem) because everyone was so fully engaged. i can’t wait to see how you two change the world. because i know you will.
i’ve prepared a little slideshow which i would love for you to watch, but if you’d rather “scroll”, i’ve included a few images below as well (but please watch the video!).

you know when you plan to go somewhere and then it kind of sneaks up on you and you hurriedly pack your bags, hoping you don’t forget anything while rapidly tying up any loose end you can think of and then you say goodbye to your family and hop in the car, sure you’ve missed something massive and make your way to a destination and it’s taking quite some time to get there and you think to yourself, “goodness gracious, i sure hope this is worth it”? well, it probably is.
man alive, i love these two. would do it all again 10 times over to be there for them on this day.
**for those of you wondering, this venue is not in the lower mainland. sorry!**
